Environmental Activities

We are taking various measures to reduce the environmental impact of our business activities, such as utilizing surplus steam, converting lighting to LED, and installing solar power systems. Additionally, we practice green procurement by sourcing raw materials and supplies from suppliers who actively promote environmental conservation activities.

Development of environmental technologies

We develop technologies that can reduce the environmental impact on the planet and provide eco-friendly products.

  1. Transformers are necessary for transmitting electricity, and the performance of grain-oriented electrical steel sheets, the main component of these transformers, can reduce electrical losses. Our magnesium oxide for electrical steel sheets is an indispensable material for manufacturing high-performance grain-oriented electrical steel sheets, contributing to the efficient delivery of electricity worldwide.
  2. Most of the bittern left after extracting salt from seawater was discarded. However, we utilize bittern as a raw material to produce magnesium oxide, thereby making full use of the seawater resources provided by the Earth.
  3. We have developed a material called “CHARGEMAG®” that can store and transport waste heat emitted from factories. By developing systems that incorporate this material, we will contribute to energy conservation.
