Since our founding in 1966 in Banshu Ako, facing the Seto Inland Sea, we have been providing materials centered around magnesium oxide that contribute to society and the economy for over half a century. This is all thanks to the support of our customers and all related parties, for which we are deeply grateful.

Half a century ago, we succeeded in producing high-purity magnesium oxide from “bittern,” a byproduct of salt production, and have since played a role in Japan’s rapid economic growth during a time of resource scarcity.

By thoroughly pursuing the characteristics and strengths of magnesium oxide, a blessing from the sea, we have pioneered the development of functional products such as annealing separators for electromagnetic steel sheets, electro-fused magnesium oxide for refractory bricks, single crystal substrates of magnesium oxide for thin film formation, and non-halogen flame retardants for semiconductor encapsulation materials. Our unique functional materials are highly valued by customers worldwide, and we have expanded globally.

Looking towards the future, we will refine our core technologies based on the founding principle of maximizing the blessings of nature and connect our technologies to social contributions. Through product development that contributes to the realization of a sustainable society and environmentally friendly initiatives, we will strive to grow together with our customers and continue to challenge global environmental issues.
