タテホ化学工業とは

Our roots are in Ako, Banshu, the “Land of Salt,” a Japanese Heritage Site, where in 1948 the Ako Nishihama Salt Industry Association succeeded in producing high‑purity magnesium oxide from bittern, a byproduct of salt production. We inherited this idea and became an independent company in 1966 as Tateho Chemical Industry Co. Since then, we have been providing materials that contribute to society and the economy, with magnesium oxide products at the core.

We are committed to “monozukuri” (manufacturing) and have created products with unique functions, such as annealing separator for directional electromagnetic steel sheets used in transformers, which are essential for electrical infrastructure; insulation materials for household and industrial electric heaters and thermocouples; MI cables; raw materials for refractories, which support the Japanese steel industry; and flame retardants for semiconductor encapsulants, contributing to the foundation of human life and its development. Furthermore, we have expanded our “Monozukuri” bases not only in Ako, where our company was founded, but also in Kitakyushu City, Dalian (China), Missouri (USA), and Brescia and Bergamo (Italy), to expand our business globally.

We are grateful to our customers, who have made the most of the functions of our group products and have provided highly competitive products with their own unique technologies to the world. I would like to thank you once again.

As a member of the Air Water Group, the Group will continue to meet the expectations of our customers based on our corporate philosophy of "Meeting society's needs with nature's blessings." We will continue to grow together with our customers and contribute to the realization of a recycling‑oriented society that coexists with the earth and society.

We will do our best together with our employees to remain a youthful and ever‑evolving company, and we sincerely ask for your continued guidance and encouragement in the future.
